Karen Grando is the President of International Asbestos Removal, Inc. She has over 25 years of experience in the industry and has worked on over 1000 projects since the inception of the firm in 1987.

I.A.R. is a licensed and bonded full service environmental remediation and insulation firm. I.A.R. a certified Women Based Enterprise, provides asbestos, lead and mold remediation services. I.A.R. also provides removal of mercury, PCB's, batteries, bulbs and ballasts services. The Company also offers mechanical and plumbing insulation services. I.A.R. has approximately 65 field personnel, including members of Local 78 and 12A (Asbestos Workers Union) and Local 12 (Insulation Workers Union).

Under her leadership, I.A.R. has worked for top public and private organizations such as The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York, The Metropolitan Transit Authority, The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, The New York City School Construction Authority, the Department of Environmental Protection, Skanska USA, Turner Construction and Plaza Construction.

Karen Grando graduated from Hofstra University with a BA in Accounting. She is a Certified Energy Auditor.

Karen was awarded the Craines Business 2011 Top Entrepreneur Award.
